CerebroWave is a free educational website for learning EEG, run by its author (the "site owner"). This notice explains, in plain language, what personal data the site collects when you create an account, why, and what your rights are.

What we collect

When you sign up we ask for: your name, email address, a password, your profession, training level, institution (optional), and country. Your password is never visible to us — it is stored in hashed form by our authentication provider. Beyond standard technical logs kept by our service providers, the site does not track your reading, use advertising, or run third-party analytics.

Why we collect it

• To give you an account so you can access the guide and keep your place in it.
• To understand who uses this free resource — for example, how many residents, technologists, or students, and from which countries — so the material can be improved for its audience.
• Occasionally, to email registered users about substantial updates to the guide. No marketing, no third-party mail.

The legal basis for this processing is your consent, which you give by ticking the box at signup. You may withdraw it at any time by asking us to delete your account.

Cookies and storage

The site stores a login token in your browser so you stay signed in, and your learning progress (flashcards, drills) is kept locally in your own browser. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

For as long as you keep your account. If you ask us to delete your account, your signup record is removed from the database.
